The High-Level Side Event on Responding to Loss and Damage, "Expanding the Finance Base: The Urgent Case for Scaling Up Loss and Damage Finance," organized by the Government of the Philippines and the Secretariat of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD) , will bring together high-level representatives and key stakeholders to highlight the urgent need to scale up and accelerate loss and damage finance. The event will take stock of progress in operationalizing the Fund , strengthen political support for increased finance flows , and explore pathways to broaden the Fund's resource base, including through philanthropies and foundations.
